Actress and singer Roselyn Sanchez announced Friday on Twitter that she and husband Eric Winter are expecting their first child.
“I have great news! Eric and I are expecting our first baby! We feel so blessed and excited,” she tweeted.
The 38-year-old Sanchez wed fellow actor Winter, 35, in November 2008 in the actress’ native San Juan.
Sanchez is the spokesperson for the San Jorge Children’s Foundation and organized the “Triathlon For Life”, an April charity event benefiting the foundation and La Casa Cuna in San Juan.
She became known to US television viewers in 1996 as “Pilar Domingo”, the first Latino continuing character on the long-running soap opera “As the World Turns”. From 2005-09, Sanchez portrayed an FBI agent on the primetime drama “Without a Trace”.
Sanchez made her singing debut in 2003 with the album “Borinquena”. The first single from the disc, “Amor Amor”, garnered a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Music Video.
