Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra have made sure that even their wedding card looks royal. The Invitation card is designed by Delhi designer Ravish Kapoor. Apparently 1000 cards have gone out for the reception while 150 cards have been dispatched for the wedding and mehendi-sangeet only to family and friends.

Ravish, who has been designing cards for almost five years now, got a call from Shilpa and Raj’s office asking him to come to Mumbai for a meeting regarding their wedding card design. The brief given by Shilpa and Raj was that they wanted a simple, classy and stylish card.

Delhi-based designer Ravish Kapoor, the brain behind card tells that, “Shilpa, Raj and their families helped the decision making on the design go very fast and the design process took about a month. I showed them some dummy designs and they gave me a feedback on what they wanted. Going by that I showed them a final dummy and they instantly agreed to it.”

“Since Shilpa is fond of blue colour, and wanted a royal feel for the card, we coloured it blue. The card also has some Sanskrit shlokas since the couple is heavily into spirituality. The wedding invite of Shilpa Shetty is valued at around Rs 500 per card. A logo with their initials has been put up on Shilpa Raj’s request with a ribbon which has enhanced the overall design quality.”  says Ravish.

Kapoor further adds, “Shilpa, Raj and their families are extremely thrilled with the card. I even received a lovely thank you letter from the couple expressing their delight over the card” Ravish concludes. Well not just that, choreographer Ganesh Hegde will see everyone’s dance moves at the sangeet ceremony in Khandala on November 21.
