shiney-ahujaThe National Commission for Women (NCW) chairperson Girija Vyas along with two other NCW members on Friday reached Mumbai barging and said that the rape case involving Shiney Ahuja will be tried in a fast track court, as neither politicians nor celebrities are above the law.

Meanwhile, Anupama Ahuja (Shiney Ahuja’s wife) met Vyas and she reportedly told Vyas that her husband was innocent and was a victim of conspiracy by somebody from Bollywood because of his success. Film maker Mahesh Bhat also met Vyas. But that may not cut much ice with Vyas.Earlier in the day, Vyas made her intentions very clear saying she was here to ensure that justice was meted out. The NCW team will meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan apart from the rape victim, her family members and the police officials investigating the case. The NCW proposes to include house maids and the unorganized sector in the Sexual Harassment at Workplace law.
