The mutable nature of stardom in film industry is such that one flop film can deal a severe dent to one’s career, particularly if it still hadn’t fledged fully. None knows it better than Asin.
She took the Hindi film industry by storm by debuting opposite Aamir Khan in Ghajini which remained the highest grossing film in Bollywood until 3 Idiots beat it recently. But Asin’s rocketing career went for a nosedive after the much-hyped London Dreams opposite Salman Khan went bust at box office.
Today, the situation is such that Asin has no film in her kitty.“I have nothing (no films) as of now. All that I can reveal is that future projects are under production and I can’t talk about them until the producers give me a go-ahead,” Asin told reporters on Wednesday in New Delhi where she had arrived to announce the 55th edition of the Filmfare Awards.
We hear that Asin is indeed in talks with a few production houses but no deal has been finalized yet.
