Its always been the case that a success story is always mired in controversies. Truth or not, that’s a different issue. New York, this year’s biggest bollywood hit so far, is also faced with allegations.
Mumbai Mirror reports that Suchita Bhatia, a newbie in Bollywood had approached Aditya Chopra with a story idea as early as August 2006.
“I wrote to Aditya Chopra regarding the two stories I had. He asked director Arjun Sablok to get in touch with me. He contacted me and we fixed up a meeting at the YRF studio. On September 1, I met Arjun and narrated the two story ideas to him. He was extremely happy with the stories. I still remember him exclaiming ‘Wow!’ I kept writing to him, but there was no response and I gave up as I got busy with other work,” the paper quoted her as saying.
Needless to say Suchita was rather disheartened that she wasn’t informed nor was she given any credit.
While Arjun Sablok has denied having met her at all, he refused to comment since he needed ‘more time’ before he could ‘officially comment on the matter’.
