Jwala Gutta and Former Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin on Friday sought to scotch speculation of his romantic relationship with Jwala Gutta, saying the ace badminton doubles player is just a “good friend.” Azharuddin who is 47 years old has separated from his wife and will file for divorce in a week. Their marriage is 14 years old.

Azharuddin has been seen at Jwalas match practices and tournaments frequently. Jwala and Chetan too are seperated and will file for divorce soon.

When asked, Jwala Gutta told newspapers that ‘You can write what you want, it’s neither a yes nor a no.’ Her husband Chetan Anand said, ‘It’s a personal issue and I don’t want to comment anything.

However, Azharuddin, a Congress MP from Moradabad, rubbished all such reports, terming them as baseless, fabricated and in bad taste.
