I hope this is a rumor. If sources are to be believed, the much hipped and one of the best “Inflight Experience Airways” Kingfisher might be up for a sale. This rumor is also supported by the fact that their recent cheque to the “Airport Authority of India” worth Rs 77 Crores (Indian Rupees Seven Hundred and Seventy millions) was dishonored by Axisbank.
Kingfisher Airlines was launched in 2005, which was one of the finest in its class. The airlines was the first in India to launch the “Inflight Entertainment” by providing the personal LCD screens. In 2008 the airlines also acquired 26 percent stake of the Air Deccan, a lowest cost Indian Airlines. Mallya later went ahead and acquired the complete Air Deccan fleet into Kingfisher and rebranded it as “Kingfisher Red”.
