Russell Brand and  Katy Perry touched down at Mumbai International Airport before catching an internal flight to the northern state of Rajasthan, where they will reportedly get married this weekend.

Perry, famous for hits including “I Kissed a Girl” and more recently “California Gurls”, tried to hide her face with her jacket while bodyguards attempted to shield the couple from the cameras.

Brand, 35, found fame as a comedian and later as a television and radio presenter. But he and fellow celebrity Jonathan Ross were sanctioned after making a lurid on-air prank call to the veteran actor Andrew Sachs.

He was also in the 3-D animation film “Despicable Me” that was released in the United States earlier this year.
