Enthiran or Robot saw Rajnikanth in two different roles and the film went on to become one of the major hits of 2010, collecting a whooping Rs.400 crore globally. This time with Rana the south Indian superstar is ready to take a notch higher, as he will be donning the caps for three different avatars.
Rajnikanth has taken the initiative this time too for the film as along with the Eros International he will be co-producing the film. Also he will be teaming up with KS Ravikumar once again after working with him in the films like Padayappa and Muthu. The film is promised to be filled with action and larger than Rajnikanth’s last outing Robot in terms of photography.
The Emmy Award winner Charles Darby will take the helm for the VFX and will be the technical director of Rana. The film will be a multilingual live action magnum opus, catering to Tamil, Telugu and Hindi speaking fans. Rana is scheduled for a next summer release and is set to go on the floors soon in March.
Even 61-year old superstar’s daughter Soundarya will be part of the film but she will stay behind the camera as part of the special effects team. A.R. Rahman will be adding the music to the film. Eros International’s Sunil Lulla has said they are looking forward to work with the South Indian demigod and ready to treat Rajni Sir’s fans with a totally different action film.
