Integrity and honesty as virtues are not pre-requisites to survive in the grueling entertainment world. But without them, the essence of a person is quite truly lost.

A thought valued by media honcho Manmohan Shetty who has based his entire career on these values. Further proof of that was found when the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) recently passed a judgment on the SEBI case in his favor after accepting that there were no violations of insider-trading regulations in a case that began back in 2006.

Mr. Shetty contented that the disclosure of information was an inadvertent technical error without any mala fide intention on his path, a fact accepted by SAT who went on to reduce the original fine from Rs. 1 crore to Rs. 25 lacs.

The judgment was further vindication of Mr. Shetty’s stance, which he has maintained over the course of years. In an industry where people constantly use unethical ways to make a quick buck, Manmohan Shetty stands out as a shining example. Even good people face a test of character in tough times and Mr. Shetty has passed that test with flying colours.
