beauty icons of 2011A poll performed of 3,000 women has revealed that Kate Middleton is 2011’s Top Beauty Icon.

She became the Duchess of Cambridge when she married Prince William in April, came out top in a poll of 3,000 women.

In second place was Kate’s younger sister Pippa, 28. Third place in the Superdrug poll went to last year’s winner Cheryl Cole.

In a strong showing of support for brunette Brits, singer Cheryl Cole placed third on the list, while Rihanna (#4), Beyoncé (#7), Emma Watson (#8), Katy Pery (#9), Victoria Beckham (#10), Lady Gaga (#12), Adele (#16), Angelina Jolie (#18), Keira Knightley (#19), and Scarlett Johansson (#20) also won high marks for their beauty look.

The survey also reveals what impact celebrities have on beauty trends and buying habits.
